[Edgeworth's phone had briefly gone off during his investigation of the courthouse. The call was promptly ignored. His conversation with Javert and realization of the man's identity then occurred, leading to their conversation regarding Somarium's future law system and how it would be run.
As a result, many hours passed until Cornelia's call was returned. He was still busy with paperwork and thus opted for answering via text message. Though he knew full well that she was royalty, he also firmly believed that sending a text was not too different from a letter, if worded properly.]

Regarding Mr. Javert and his demeanor, I have selected him above all others for one simple reason: I know much of his career, his records, and his overall work ethics. If my word alone is not enough to convince you, then you will also be pleased to know that his actions will be kept under close watch with the utmost scrutiny. In the event that any detail is overlooked, any criminal is given too much lenience or any law-abiding citizen is unlawfully abused, I will be there to correct what has been wronged.
As things stand at the time of writing this message, I have all but full confidence that none of the above shall occur while Mr. Javert is an enforcer of the law.
